3. Review the estimate

Check what is included, what is excluded and who provides materials. Confirm payment terms, schedule, permits where applicable and any project-specific warranty directly with the business before agreeing to proceed.

4. Confirm the work and timing

Once the proposal is agreed, confirm access, expected timing and how questions or changes will be handled. Unexpected conditions or extra work should be discussed and approved before being added.

5. Review the completed scope

Compare the completed work with the agreed proposal. Raise any outstanding items and ask about care instructions relevant to the materials used.
